While I was never fond of the community on NeoGaf, I do feel bad for the overall users than the owner of the site. It's not their fault that the owner got busted for some shady illegal acts. Though it seems like the users found their remedy by making a new community for them to move to.

Yeah and the new forum has over 200k posts in a matter of days.
 
Yeah. I still don't get why they need an 'alternative' to NeoGAF when lots of great gaming forums like this one already exist. Why not help out an existing community run by decent people?
 
They first have to know this site exists to want to move over here. :P And they probably liked the general community vibe of the original site which is easier to copy on a new site than to go to an existing one and having to adjust.

I was never a participant of the original forums but have read the threads when Googling stuff. As long as the community isn't destroyed then that's good for the people there. The owner is garbage of course.
