Slipped within Time Warner's call to investors last week was this mention, from the company's chief financial officer, that the next entry in the acclaimed Arkham series of Batman video games will be arriving in 2013.
Said John K. Martin, Time Warner's chief financial officer:

And we also have a strong games release this year, which will include the next release in the Batman Arkham franchise. So all in all, we expect Warners to post another very strong year in 2013.

Last month, Warner registered a slew of Arkham-themed domains, among them "Arkham Universe," "Arkham Legends," and "Arkham Stories."

We've reached out to Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment for a comment, and will update any it makes here.

Before anyone gets excited, I'm reading a lot of user comments saying Paul Dini won't be apart of this game nor will Rocksteady be making this. So I don't think this will be as good as the past ones.

I've got Asylum checked off my list for a plat. Now for City. Then this.

The reason people end up disliking games when made by different developers is because they already consider it not going to be any good before it's even developed.

You don't know who will be involved yet you claim you don't think it will be as good because what? Paul Dini and Rocksteady are the only one's that can develop good Batman games?

Come on, keep an open mind.

I said I think, not saying it will be. but generally most games made by other people don't turn out well, only exception I've found so far is sly cooper 4. And the DLC already holds the lack of Dini and I know many expressed disappointment in the harley DLC.

But you shouldn't be concerned about what other people think of a game or a DLC, what does their feeling matter to you. It's whether you like it or not, simple as that and you won't know until you've tried it. If you don't try something because someone else said they don't like it then that's your loss.

I'm talking from experience, not what internet trolls are trolololing. I'm still crying over what happened to the spyro the dragon series.

Besides that, the arkham series is easily more than just a video game. It's a hell of story in progress and just handing that off to another company is possibly the worst thing for this series.
