Man, I'm really not excited about these new Pokemon, at all. The designs get more and more wacky with every iteration. The names get even farther out there. The graphics get updated, but not in a good way. I'm not even sure if you can have most if any of the old Pokemon in these games anymore, can you? There's just so many, and too much to keep up with. These new games just aren't as exciting for me as they used to be. I haven't really given them a try, so I can't say for sure whether they still give that "Pokemon" experience, but they visually don't. I guess if it sells, it sells though.

I pretty much agree, Nintendo should cut back on the whole new pokemon making and focus on what they have. When was the last time a scyther got any attention?

Oh my god that's so cool! I am so excited for that game to come out, and I will 100% buy it! I think it's very good what the Pokemon creators are doing with the past few games. They keep upgrading and updating it with new features and that's what really catches my attention.
My question for you, will you pick Pokemon Sun or Pokemon Moon? I think I will go for Pokemon Sun.

I disagree with this sentiment. Why change something that continues to be successful? For every person like you that doesn't like new Pokemon, there are hundreds of people like myself that do. I am not looking for Pokemon to innovate the RPG genre. I just want Pokemon, period. There is a reason, that us players have played what is the basically the same game for years and years. We like it.

Also, most Pokemon fans think these are some of the strongest new Pokemon designs in years. I agree with that. They look great!

Here's your problem, they can't keep making new pokemon forever.

I wish GameFreak quit on the mega thing i dislike it so much. I feel like most of these could of been normal evolutions. It just feels like a mess and the way they give some pokemon two evolutions and then a mega evolution just seems dumb.

I can see both sides of the argument since my eldest son is a huge Pokemon fan and he has binders of Pokemon cards and more Pokemon RPGs games than I can count (Pearl, Diamond, Platinum, X, Y, Black, White, Omega Ruby, Alpha Sapphire). He loves playing each new game and importing the pokemon from one version of the game to the next. The one downside to this rich diversity of Pokemon is that I felt that the two latest Pokemon offering watered down the quality and challenge of Pokemon battling and the new characters may continue this trend.

Explain to me why not? They only release new Pokemon every 3-4 years. The last batch was with Pokemon X&Y in 2013. You may not realize it, but the inspirations behind most designs go really deep. It could be a simple animal, a myth, or even just a common phrase. There are so many things they haven't even touched as far as inspiration. As long as people keep buying Pokemon games, there will always be new Pokemon.

I think they should also develop a Pokémon game like this for desktop console (WiiU, Nx). With semi real time combat and new mechanics that will attract also an older audience. Nintendo would rack up a lot success with a Pokémon game outside its safe
handheld environment. Is a great franchise with tons of possibilities, but these are japanese companies, they will maintain tradition
as long as they can.

Everything has a limit, that's why not. Considering Pokemon was founded on "catch them all" just kills the point if you actually do it but they say now go capture these 100 more.

I await pokemon space and alien pokemon.
