Man, I'm really not excited about these new Pokemon, at all. The designs get more and more wacky with every iteration. The names get even farther out there. The graphics get updated, but not in a good way. I'm not even sure if you can have most if any of the old Pokemon in these games anymore, can you? There's just so many, and too much to keep up with. These new games just aren't as exciting for me as they used to be. I haven't really given them a try, so I can't say for sure whether they still give that "Pokemon" experience, but they visually don't. I guess if it sells, it sells though.
I wonder if it's a coincidence that the mongoose pokemon has a "Trump-like" hairstyle...
I pretty much agree, Nintendo should cut back on the whole new pokemon making and focus on what they have. When was the last time a scyther got any attention?
I disagree with this sentiment. Why change something that continues to be successful? For every person like you that doesn't like new Pokemon, there are hundreds of people like myself that do. I am not looking for Pokemon to innovate the RPG genre. I just want Pokemon, period. There is a reason, that us players have played what is the basically the same game for years and years. We like it.
Also, most Pokemon fans think these are some of the strongest new Pokemon designs in years. I agree with that. They look great!
Here's your problem, they can't keep making new pokemon forever.
Explain to me why not? They only release new Pokemon every 3-4 years. The last batch was with Pokemon X&Y in 2013. You may not realize it, but the inspirations behind most designs go really deep. It could be a simple animal, a myth, or even just a common phrase. There are so many things they haven't even touched as far as inspiration. As long as people keep buying Pokemon games, there will always be new Pokemon.
