That's quite a bit, considering Super Mario World had just 72 and New Super Mario Bros one had exactly that number in total and the Wii game had 77 (not counting cannons, enemy courses or secret exits as levels). Does this mean this game will probably have ten worlds or something? Maybe a Star Road and Special World like in Super Mario World?

Because the European official site clearly says 'more than 80 stages set over a variety of worlds'.

Hmm for star coin collectors this game will be quite a challenge 80 levels already means 80 x 3 = 240 star coins and the site said over 80 so who knows how much levels there is and imagine if those are just normal levels and they add special levels.

Blasmaphy I tell you blasmaphy!!!

I heard that it will also have paid DLC coin rush levels.

It will probably be 81 levels.............

That'll keep me going for a while, 80 levels or more. Especially if it's like Super Mario World or something, where each level is almost totally unique.

Well, considering that World 1 is gonna have 8 levels (you can see it on the japanese website), I think we're gonna have only 8 worlds this time. From experience, when the cover or the website of a game say "more than X levels", it usually ends being exactly X levels.
This is how I think, more or less, that they're gonna be destributed:
W1 - 8 levels
W2 - 8 levels
W3 - 9 levels
W4 - 10 levels
W5 - 10 levels
W6 - 11 levels
W7 - 12 levels
W8 - 14 levels

That would make 82 levels. Of course, they could make the last worlds smaller and add another Special World like the ones in SMW and NSMBWii, with eight levels.
