Which game do you think will probably be better out of the two?

In one corner we have the 3DS Mario game and its new gold gimmick. It has a fairly standard/conservative art style but does bring back the Koopalings and Reznor.

In the other, we have the HD Mario game for the Wii U, with all new fancy backgrounds and some new power ups. However, it doesn't have an ongoing theme as far as I can tell and may or may not have the Koopalings and Reznor.

Which one is better?

The only upper hand that NSMB2 has is the downloadable with extra Club coins. WiiU is still not getting to be used in it's prime, so 'tis best to not call out quicks, methinks.

I would have to say Super Mario Bros. U because it looks a lot better with better power ups and what not. I mean New Super Mario Bros. 2 looks awesome, but nothing too special besides gold. I like the gold a lot, but it isn't enough to beat NSMBU.

Well, I think it's too soon to know. I mean, though we have a lot of info about NSMB2, it still haven't been released, and all we've got about NSMBU are a few screenshots and one trailer.
However, I'm more excited for NSMB2. Maybe is just because it's the one whose release date is closer, and because we know a lot more of it, but I still think Nintendo is doing a great job with it.
I loved the original New for the DS. But when the Wii one came out... well, it was great at first, but it disappointed me. It really didn't have a lot of original ideas, and it looked too much like the previous one.
However, with NSMB2 I'm seeing a lot of interesting things. I mean, coins have always been a element in Mario games, but they have never been the main element of one. And I think Nintendo is pulling out this very well actually. Also, though a lot of people is pissed because they say the game looks just the same as the previous ones, I actually see it very different art-wise. Not as different as NSMBU, obviously, as that game seems to not take place nowhere near the Mushroom Kingdom, just like how SMW did with Dinosaur Land, but still a great work.

How can you compare a handheld game to a console game?
I'm serious, OBVIOUSLY WiiU one will be better.
..That doesn't mean 3DS one wont be good.

So, you mean a console game is automatically better than a handled game just because of that?
Because then I have to disagree. A lot.
