New Super Mario Bros Wii Coin Stars

I'm doing a playthrough of small Mario, while trying to see how many coin stars is possible to get without any items and Yoshi. Basically anything that comes from this block:

So far I did World 1 and 2. Throwing turtle shells is allowed because it's not really a powerup and that blue block that makes you fly.

I made a new file, so when the game starts, you're already small Mario. To clear things up, I'm not taking the mushroom that makes Mario shrink in to small size.

So basically the aim is to get as many star coins as possible... sounds incredibly challenging, and I'm already listing a few that will be impossible to get without power ups in my, head. Be sure to let us know how this goes, anyway!

Heh, those are pretty awesome. That second coin in 1-3, you can only just get that by touching it ever so slightly, which was amusing.
