Nintendo New Switch Model Due 2021

Read from Gematsu and Bloomberg:

Nintendo plans to release a new Switch model in 2021, according to a Bloomberg report citing people familiar with the matter.

While the specifications have yet to be finalized, Nintendo reportedly considered features such as improved processing power and 4K resolution graphics for the new model.

The people said that new games, both first-party and third-party, aimed at both casual and hardcore audiences are planned for release to complement the new model. And since Nintendo is reportedly focused on games launching in 2021, the release schedule for 2020 is comparatively modest.

A Nintendo spokesperson declined to comment when contacted by Bloomberg.

Of course, I'm not exactly covinced such a new Switch model will be as big of a change as people are expecting to be, but that's neither here nor there.

Hopefully, there would be a version of the new Switch with a bigger screen for people with poor eyesight, but don't want to wear glasses to play their Switch.

I'm still feeling burnt on Nintendo's last actual hardware upgrade for newer softer, what was it... the 3DS XL or something like that? They said they develop games just for it but never really did besides a few. I did buy it, but never got full use out of it.

If there is a big difference in specs, then it makes sense that some games would be made specifically for it and therefore not available for the current Switch model. But I really don't think they will have a huge upgrade yet.
