Hello everyone since I bought an american 3ds last year november and now I live in europe for college(Didint find out about the region locking till it was too late :C and I didnt even bother check for region locking at the beginning cause all the earlier versions of the ds were region free but I dont regret it the 3ds is a great handheld system and I have devilsurvivor overclocked currently only available for the american 3ds)

Anyway onto the main point of the topic!

Right now since I dont want to import 3ds games from america the shipping and handeling costs would be too much I decided that I was gonna buy a 3ds this summer the whit 3ds caught my eye love that thing but then I watched ninteno direct and the 3ds xl caught my eye espeacially the silver version I thought to myself about when a friend had the dsi xl some of the games on it seemed stretched and overly pixelated a great example is pokemon diamon and pearl. But I dig some info searching and found that the 3ds xl is actually an improvement in most cases from a uk journalist who play tested it here is the info.

-larger, less finicky 3D viewing angles

-3D itself comes off looking better, smoother

-the screen quality is actually better and the games don't look jaggy

-the large size makes it actually easier to grip for longer periods

-the plastic doesn't leave thumb prints

I mostly posted this topic to help others who were thinking of buying one and to discuss it so lets have fun everyone

Actually, the PPI is substantially less due to the larger screen, so the games will look even more jaggy.

It's not that simple. Pixel count only directly affects the 'jagginess' of sprite work. It holds a rather looser influence on the polygonal 3D used by most modern games, it's not directly proportional. The anti-aliasing that the 3DS XL would appear to use will help smooth things out, as well.

That's what I said earlier, but I don't think anyone payed attention hehe.
