It wouldn't be so bad if there were 3rd party games coming, but there aren't, so it is bad. PS4/XB1 are hitting their stride this year, so it looks especially bad in comparison.

We've still got a few neat games coming out, the new Kirby, new Pokemon at the end of the year, Dragon Quests sound interesting, and I'm excited for Color Splash. To be honest though, I have a lot of games I need to finish playing anyway, so I don't really mind a break. I'd much rather them get their new and hopefully less gimmicky console off to a good start with a solid game lineup and more in the works to support it, rather then have a repeat of the Wii U's zero release situation. Hopefully by taking a breather this year, Nintendo will be a better company for it in the long run!

It's pretty clear from the lineup that Nintendo has pulled a lot of games from the Wii U and shifting all resources to the NX.
