Obama now in Russia

Please don't start a war with Russia Mr. President. We don't need a war right now. Yes, it would help the economy, but what if it turns out we got on the wrong horse?

But why do I get the feeling we don't need to get involved with Syria until we have a clear statement with the rest of the world? Hell, Britain isn't getting involved with us I think.

Help the economy? Why do you think the economy is so bad right now? Because of the last war.

Britian isn't in the war yet because of no evidence.

if there was sarcasm this would be in the post: [/sarcasm]

But since the tag is missing it isn't sarcasm. The war loving Bush went to war and didn't raise taxes to pay for the war, idiot.

I agree with DS, we are still reeling from the last war.. and we can't afford another.. what we need to be focusing on is rebuilding the economy, pulling our chicken nuggets and other fast food out of China, and then focus on our own shit..

Because the last thing we need is another war we can't afford, that will only leave even more veterans homeless..

It's not a "world" crysis though. It doesn't actually affect the "world" it only affects those (outside of the affected area) that believe they are responsible for the world (which they are not).

EDIT: haha you can see i've been playing Crysis 3 recently...

Go Go Russia!!!

I hope Russia arms the Syrian government. Those rebels are about 80% terrorist groups, with around 40-50% estimated to be in one of them and several other groups in collaboration, with only one group (the "Free Syrian Army") taking a democratic stance.

well the exact number of "terrorist groups" in the rebel ranks are still up for debate with nothing concrete at the moment.

The figure you just gave seems to imply that you got your stats from a Syrian,Iranian, or Russian source, while the United States and Europe agree that the Al Qeada affiliates aka "terrorist groups" in the rebel ranks are estimated at the minority setting 35%.

The one thing both parties agree on however is that the Al Qeada affiliates within the rebel ranks are the most "effective" force.

And by the way, Russia has been arming the Syrian goverment for a while now...

Latest news on this conflict, guys.

First question is : will Syria hand over or not?
& 2nd : Syria never signed the "no first use" treaty with the international community.

3rd : What's America or the UN going to
do, if it doesn't, hummm...? Go to war with Syria.
After this latest development its all up in the air now.

Before it was a for sure bet that the United States and allies where going to attack.

But now with this latest proposal which will help all parties save face there is no telling.

Also there is the whole trust issue here, and I doubt the United States trusts the Syrian goverment to do what they say by completeley handing over every single chemeical weapon they have to be destoryed.
