Offended or over-reacting?

I know the ideas might be somewhat closely related in nature (racism and offensive comments vs overreactions) but let's not perpetuate the same issues here too since it accomplishes nothing and we already have another topic to deal with it.
Plus it just looks bad to start dragging issues from topic to topic. And more than anything will just result in both this and that other topic getting closed.

On topic though, if someone doesn't [want to] understand something then it is best that you just don't bother wasting time on them.
If they want to believe that you are offended or over-reacting simply because they don't understand the situation themselves, then it is best to just let them believe that.
You and possibly others already understand where you are coming from, and if that one person still doesn't get it, then it is best to just leave them in the dark where they belong.
