I still think it's cool that we have these lego sets that resemble old game consoles and handhelds. Gameboys aren't too expensive these days if you want a working one lol. Though it would be cool to see someone make a working gameboy with a Lego shell.

How did they get the D-pad to work?

Well as long as there's a working pcb underneath the d-pad to detect the D-pad input when you press the d-pad it will work, like what she did with the A and B, select and start buttons. something like this:

I love that the gameboy has the following that it does. I can't wait to see how many versions of the playable Lego Gameboy's exist years from now.
