It's nice they're showing a fair amount of gameplay, and the people playing the game (both were key to the DS and Wii successes in the past), but those voices... dear God, it seems like the least natural gathering of young adults/teens ever. No one says 'supernova' as if it's a cool phrase. Nor do most people speak like that.

Never the less, what do you think about this commercial?
 
o_O *Busts out laughing.* That was the dumbest commercial for a video game I've ever seen. No one talks like that when playing video games. If people were drunk or high then maybe or if they weren't taking the game seriously at all, but still.

Also multiplayer looks very disapointing. Better than the one in the original, but that's not saying much.

That's not what I mean at all. I mean it just doesn't look very fun. Starfox 64 didn't have a fun multiplayer and it's the same thing basically.

the commercial was ehh alright i guess...kinda weird seeing those people playing the game tho because you really wouldnt picture some of them playing the 3ds. but anywho, there was sum corny lines said in there, but im sure they were just trying to add in some humor...which i wouldnt say worked out extremely well..commercial should have gotten more thought into it.

I think the joke was supposed to be that they were acting like kids. I suppose if that had to be explained the joke kinda failed but I don't see anything particularly wrong with the commercial, and it's better than the majority of commercials for games with a rating around the E range.
 
I don't mind as well. It was well played out because it made it look fun, which is basically what everyone hopes in a game. Plus I bet if you're with friends and you're into the match, excitement will ensue. Happens all the time with my friends.
 
o-o wow and wowzer yes that my reaction and im leaving it as that. but yeah it funny just seem to simple. still wish the muliplayer battle was wifi too not just local most of my friends arein different states or citys.
 
Has multilayer been confirmed to only be local play? That doesn't sound right to me, but that kinda sucks if it's true. Though I do have at least one person around here I can battle.

The eShop says that it's local-wireless, and is played using DS Download play. Which really defeats the purpose of that face camera thing.
