When I first heard of Steambot Chronicles and read what the game was all about, I wanted to grab hold of it outright. It was a cell shaded sandbox adventure RPG game. When I finally purchased it and plopped it into my PS2, I automatically felt a sense of calm and relaxation. That's what the entire game brought me whenever I played it. The environments were oh so peaceful (including the cities and towns), the story was lighthearted but interesting nonetheless, the mech battles were awesome, and the music rhythm minigames were so much fun. The songs sounded pleasant to the ears and there was a lot to do! I hope to see this game on the PS4.

Sigh, it's no wonder why they didn't make a sequel on the PS3. Not a lot of people ever heard of this game no matter how awesome it was. It's worth getting if you still have a functioning PS2. It offers hours and hours of gameplay. You could spend hours customizing your robot or just exploring the world, or trying to enhance your musical skills or playing pool or fighting with other robots.

I haven't tried playing it in an emulator though. I do hope that I would also find a good PS2 emulator because my Steambot Chronicles CD is no longer working.
