I guess we can't expect too much originality in world themes, right? Still, there does seem to be a lot of water in this world as well as typical desert landscape stuff, so perhaps the beach world will be merged into the desert one too. That'd be a great step in making the areas more original.

What do you think?

That's what I'm saying. There's really no other themes than grass, desert, ice, fire, clouds, and whatever others they used that I forgot.
 
Well duh. At least the levels themselves are original.
 
Well, the game is looking very impresive, and there are actually several new themed levels, so I think there's still room for new themed worlds.

What do you mean there's no other themes? I'm saying they should come up with new ones! Themes we haven't seen before in a Mario game!

How about music, like Band Land from Rayman? Toys like in Wario Land 4? Horror? Medieval Japan? Mouse World like the Macro Zone from Mario Land 2? Outer space like in the Galaxy series (for a single world)?

There are a ton of themes they could use.
 
They should at least put the SML 1-3 theme in when in the desert. I think Mega Man is way more creative than Mario in many ways.
 
Personally, I find it stupid how Nintendo completely MILKS the SMB series music (except for SMB2), and pretty much has NEVER done a single remix of any of SML or SML2's music EVER, in any other Mario game... EVER.

Also that remix Nin3DS posted above, is actually an official remix from the original soundtrack, released in 1989.

Why does it have to be like 8 worlds anyway? They could make more wolrds which are smaller. Maybe 20 areas that each have like 3 or 4 levels? Or no worlds at all? Just one big map like Super Mario World?
 
Why can't there be worlds based off fairy tales or medieval times or better yet a drive through? Lack of imagination is unacceptable.

I'm so glad you asked. Mario avoids people throwing fast food at him while hitchhiking on Doc Louis's yoshi. Anything along those lines would be hilarious. Everything would be food related but hold the mushrooms. Yea or nay?
