E3 On the brightside...

In this year’s E3 there were some let downs. Yes, I’m looking at you, Microsoft. But putting that aside, there were some announcements that kind of surprised me, in a good way, as well. Mostly from Sony and Nintendo, who delighted us with teasers and gameplays from games such as Metroid Prime 4, Super Mario Odyssey and the new Spiderman game. But I really, really, really didn’t expect a Cthulhu game. Not too much has been said about this title, but I sure am looking forward to it. Even more considering it’s going to be targeted to a mature audience. What do you think? Will it be worth it?

Don't you mean Sony instead of Microsoft? Granted MS didn't pull anything WOW out of their conference but they had their strongest one in years.

Well, maybe is just me. I don't know what I was expecting, and I actually liked the Microsoft Press Conference, but I wanted to be blown away and that didn't happen. Besides, I just bought an Xbox One and now there’s a new one, and I won’t get to play Spiderman. Perhaps I’m just a bit frustrated hahaha

Really? Did you prefer Sony's conference over Microsoft's? For me, it's the other way around. I thought Sony did very poorly and that upset me because I've been a Sony and Playstation fan for as long as I can remember, haha.

I can say that I enjoyed Microsoft's conference even though that I don't own Xbox One and that I don't plan on buying their newest console either. But I thought the way they presented things was very nice and entertaining. Maybe it's just me.


Anyway, is this the game you're referring to?

I never heard of it before this E3 but it does look interesting. I wonder how it will rank up against the new Evil Within and other horror games. Is it VR only though? the trailer makes it seem like it's VR... or maybe just first person?

Hmm, while I understand why you may feel the way you do I still believe that Microsoft actually came out swinging harder than most of the other companies. For one thing their line-up of what, like 44 games, was pretty darn impressive. A lot of the games looked very good. Then there was the introduction of their new and improved Xbox, though admittedly the name change was a bit underwhelming.

I think I was impressed by them because I didn't go into it expecting much, and having gotten way more than I bargained for was a pleasant surprise. Same with Ubisoft who had an even stronger impact on me.
