Chinese company called Oukitel has announced a new smartphone called the Oukitel K10000 and it should have enough power for anyone.

The battery inside this smartphone packs 10,000 mAh of juice. Not only will the smartphone use all that power to keep itself running all day, it also supports reverse charging meaning you can use the smartphone's massive battery to charge other gadgets on the go.

The company claims that the battery is large enough to charge your iPhone 6s fully three times. It almost sounds like a battery pack that can make calls in a pinch rather than a smartphone. The display is a 5.5-inch 720 x 1280 pixel unit and the processor is a 1GHz MediaTek MT6735 SoC paired with 2GB of RAM.ntegrated storage is 16GB and that can be expanded with microSD cards up to 32GB in capacity and it runs Android 5.1. Pricing is set at $239.99 with a special introductory price at $199.99

This is one big battery on this phone. The specs, and price seems pretty good.

It is cool that you can also use this phone battery to charge other smartphones, and tech like MP3 players and small tablets.

I think this phone will unlikely be shipped out of Asia because most people buy Apple, Samsung, Motorola, LG, and Sony smartphones, and there are not many smaller alternative smartphone brands except for Asus, and Acer here in Canada.

Then why is the menu in the phone's presentation photos in English?

I clicked on the Source link to the original article on SlashGear, and the source link linked to http://gadgets.ndtv.com/mobiles/news/meet-the-android-phone-with-a-humungous-10000mah-battery-776134 which linked to the pre-order page at http://www.gearbest.com/cell-phones/pp_204428.html

The phone is shipped from China and Hong Kong according to its pre-order page.

So far, it seems you can only buy it from gearbest.com and similar websites.

But, I feel that it is unlikely this phone ever be sold in a physical electronic stores like BestBuy in US, Canada, and Europe.

It is 10,000 mAh. But, the phone is a little thicker, and heavier because of the bigger battery.
See thats not anything good then. Obviously a bigger battery will have more power. When someone manages to make a big enough battery to fit into a nice and slim phone, thats when we should celebrate

From reading another article at NDTV. NDTV says the phone measurements are "143 mm width x 77 mm hieght x 9mm width, and weighs 184 grams."

9 mm thickness is thinner than older smartphones like the iPhone 3GS, and some Google Android phones which are sometimes thicker.

I think thicker phones are less likely to bend, and users can hold onto thicker phones more tightly, so they are less likely to drop thicker phones.

Thicker phones may survive drops better when dropped on its back facing the floor, and on its sides.

This is absolutely what we need. A big battery like this could easily power a powerful phone for a while. Fact is, at this point, there's no reason big name manufacturers like Samsung or apple couldn't give a bigger battery. I mean if a relatively unheard of name in the west like Oukitel or Blu can do it... There's no reason Samsung or apple or whichever other big name couldn't too. They just choose not to in order to rake in more profits off cheaper batteries.

Apple now sells an $99 iPhone 6S battery case, so Apple will make more money selling buyers an iPhone 6S, and an official $99 Apple battery case which are probably cost under $50 to make.

It stinks that companies like Apple, and Samsung are so cheap and greedy when picking batteries for their devices.
