The Hollywood Reporter reported on Monday that Pac-Man is getting a live-action film by Bandai Namco Entertainment and Justin Baldoni and Steve Sarowitz' Wayfarer Studios. The film is in development.
Lightbeam Entertainment's Chuck Williams (live-action Sonic the Hedgehog) is credited for the original idea. Williams and Tim Kwok of Lightbeam will produce the film, along with Baldoni, Manu Gargi and Andrew Calof of Wayfarer Studios.
Because Pixels was such a success, as well as Wreck-It Ralph, and the TV show Pac-Man got. Actually, I really don't like any of these and this was a bad idea. Mistakes were made.
Pac Man could be made from a radioactive lemon and his dead lemon friends all got eaten and turned into ghosts that haunt him so he needs magic Mentos to save the day and then be at peace with the world. Or turn it into that Sega Genesis game plot and someone needs to guide him.
