Hello anybody out there. I am in need of assistance.
I am going to buy Pikmin 3 for a friend, as she is unable to get it herself (and really wants it), however she lives in Australia while I live in Canada. I can't get her a North American copy due to the Wii U's region-lock, so I'm going to get her a PAL version. I'm intending to get her a copy from the UK, as it will be somewhat cheaper on my spending.
However, I have never dealt with other-region games before, and I don't actually know if this will work. I know that the UK and Australia are both part of the PAL region, so this should work in theory. However I don't know if the Wii U's areas of region-locking has been outlined yet, and I also don't know how finicky the system's region-locking is.
Bottom line: I need to know if a UK Wii U game will fully operate on an Australian Wii U system.
I would greatly appreciate it if anyone would be able to offer me any information they might have in regards to this.
