Much of the talk at Nintendo's E3 press conference this morning centered on the Wii U, but that doesn't mean a few bits of exciting news for 3DS fans weren't tossed into the mix as well. One game we got to learn a bit more about was the upcoming fourth installment in the Paper Mario series.

Paper Mario: Sticker Star is its name, and you'll be able to play it on your 3DS this holiday season. Stickers plastered all over the world become battle commands for Mario; he'll use the Hammer Sticker to smash, the Stomp Sticker to, well, you know.

Definitely looking forward too it, I didn't play the Paper Mario game for the Wii and a lot of people hate on it so I hope that's not the case with this game. At first I was thinking the sticker thing was kind of a cheesy gimmick but as the video went on, I thought it was really neat. The game definitely looks great, I've always wanted a handheld PM game.
 
I haven't played Paper Mario, but I would like to try it out. I remember seeing a commercial when the first game was out, and I thought it looked cool. There wasn't a company making characters look like stickers. Nintendo stays ahead of the other gaming companies when it comes to originality.
 
Yes it is. Why would they give a BS date if they are not sure? That would piss people off more because they would keep delaying it.
 
I really enjoyed the one on the N64 and couldnt stop playing it until i reached the very end in a week or two. I haven't given the one on the GameCube a real chance, but been meaning to catch up. I guess between this one on the 3DS and a new Castlevania game, the handheld is now complete ;)
