Playing an anime game without watching the anime...

Have you considered playing anime games before watching the anime? I am not much of a gamer...so I didn't play anything...much. I played couple of naruto and one piece games but that's about it.
What about you guys?

Random sometimes I discover a game thru watching it's anime and vice versa.

Same thing. Usually, it's the anime that gets hyped up more than the game it was based on. This is especially true when an anime is based on an Eroge. By the time you're done with half the season, someone tells you that yeah it's an eroge.

I am not much of a gamer so I always pick games that are popular and I read a bit about them before installing them

usually if I play a game, its because I watched the anime version, or there wasn't an version at the time.

I am currently, but it this case its the proper way to do it. The whole reason I haven't started the Persona 5 anime is because I have yet to beat the game.
