PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale Vita

After lots of rumors, Sony officially confirmed PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale for the PlayStation Vita today. The news and info about crossplay (PS3 users can play Vita users and vice versa) came at the PlayStation E3 press conference. It was demoed live, with two players battling on Vita while two others used a PS3.

All-Stars will feature cross-save support with up to three friends as well.

Finally, it has a release of Holiday 2012.

anyone remember that PS commercial many months ago with all those sony characters gathered in one room giving a toast? That was a damn teaser for this game!

Oh I think the cross play feature is awesome
But the Vita doesnt have a R2 and L2 button does it? how's that going to work?

I'm still kinda weary of it since it looks a little too much like "Super Smash Bros: the Sony Edition". I'm definitely waiting until there's more info on what they did different before really considering getting it. As a friend of mine so eloquently said: "The game is looking a little too much like Super Smash Bros right now, and the roster lacks the charm Nintendo can pull with its characters."

After seeing gameplay footage of the game. It looks a lot like Super Smash Bros. However, I was a fan of that game back on the N64..and Battle Royale looks good....so I might pick this up for the Vita when it drops then for the PS3 at a later date perhaps after a price drop.

Almost exactly like Super Smash Bros. Thing is, Super Smash Bros. is a great game to copy.

I remember having a lot of fun with that game when I was younger. If these is an enhanced version of that, I am more than fine with it. This interesting array of characters will be amusing on it's own.
