sourcePolice say a 16-year-old suffered road rash injuries after being dragged over 1,000 feet by a car in an attempted robbery.
According to officials, the 16-year-old victim placed an ad on Facebook attempting to sell his Playstation 3 in September.
The victim received a response from an 'Andre Williams' who told the victim he would trade an iPhone for the gaming console.
Police say they potential buyer arrived by car to the victim's house to make the trade.
When the victim took the phone from the Facebook buyer to inspect it, the buyer snatched the phone back and told the drive to 'dip.'
The car drove off with the victim hanging inside of the car's back window, according to police.
The victim was dragged approximately 1,000 feet before o falling to the ground near the intersection of SW Parma Avenue and SW Savona Boulevard, officials said.
Police say detectives learned that the online buyer used a fake name but through leads, were able to learn his actual identity and arrest him.
Port St Lucie police arrested the alleged buyer 'Andre Williams' whose real name is Christopher Alexis, 20, charging him with robbery by sudden snatching, grand theft and dealing in stolen property.
Police also charged Alexis's accomplices, Marquez Stacy, 19, and Dakota Washington, 19.
