According to the recent Nintendo Direct, a national dex update for Pokedex 3D is coming on July 14th for Japan. Here are some screenshots.

FINALLY, heh. I wondered if they ever planned to get all the other Pokemon in there, it might actually make me start using it again until I get all my favourites.
 
It appears that there's some space background added too. It looks like there's going to be more areas and more customizations you can choose from.
 
Interesting. I read somewhere that someone did hope for a national dex and they were then told that it would be impossible because of a lack of QR codes. When they did the math they excluded rotational symmetry, so maybe that was the problem.

But this is really great for artists. They can finally study the anatomy of a pokemon from all angles instead of relying on multiple screenshots that could possibly be distorted due to the laws of proportion.
 
SERIOUSLY??????????????? OK IM OK WITH THE NATIONAL POKEDEX UPDATE, BUT I DONT SET MY DATE AND TIME TO GET MORE (i think its cheap) AND IT TOOK ME LIKE A MONTH, AND NOW I"M GONNA GET 3 A DAY WHICH'll TAKE ME FOREVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! IT SUCKS CAUSE I SAW THIS COMING!!!!!
 
It's going to take forever for it to come to America anyway.

Besides, if you're so concerned about getting all the pokemon, just trade them with your friends.

You don't have to set your date to get more. For me I could get 3 Pokeymanz a day by Spotpassing.
 
exactly thats what i mean. i get 3 for a spotpass, and i finally got all of them, then traded with my friends to get the ones i couldnt but now i will eventually have to get the new ones!! that'll take forever
 
OK PPL THIS MY 200th POST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! yes i will probably be patient, its just the fact, that i reaaaaaaaallllllllllllllllllllyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy want gengar in my pokedex and with my luck it'll be my last one

When it comes to America, look for Gengar's Qr code and scan it so that you're more likely to get it.
 
ik those tricks. but gengar, oh gengar, he was always my favorite pokemon.............. and why is the new one not going to be free??????????? screw it all i can is get free games!! NO GENGAR???????? NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

dont complain too much, its actually a cool thing. I got several 3ds units around soooo I fill up the pokedex very fast
