It's been a couple months since the minds of PokeManiacs worldwide were blown with the announcement of Pokemon Black 2 and White 2, the very first numbered sequel for the core Pokemon games. Today some juicy new details have finally emerged thanks to Japanese manga magazine CoroCoro.

The new issue reveals that the game is still set in Unova, the region from the original Pokemon Black and White games, but that it features new locations, new trainers, new gym leaders and a new rival. The game takes place two years after the events of Black and White, and the Unova region has undergone some major changes during that time. It seems at least part of the map is frozen in ice (thanks to legendary ice Pokemon Kyurem, perhaps?), while other areas have been altered from what they were like in Black and White.

Among the new areas is one called Hiougi City (a name likely set to change with the stateside release), and new gym leaders include one who specializes in Poison and one who specializes in Water. As for your rival, he's the trainer with the spiky hair pictured above (thanks to Serebii for the scan, as well as the translation).

It was also revealed that the Unova Pokedex in these sequels has 300 Pokemon in it, rather than the 155 that Black and White had. Furthermore, we now know that Black Kyurem will know the move Freeze Shock and White Kyurem will know Ice Burn. Familiar monsters from other generations spotted in the updated Unova Pokedex include Psyduck, Riolu, Metagross, Tyranitar, Lapras and Arcanine.

How bout they just make a single game with every single area/pokemon? Would be an amazing/best-seller, sets a record? lol That's currently what I am waiting for if I ever get back into the Pokemon games.

That would be awesome, i have been secretly wishing for this for years.
We'll probably have to wait for Nintendo to finish milking Pokemon though, either way i don't think even the 3DS would be able to handle all this. There are also level gap issues that appear with the existing 2 regions games, imagine what it would be with 5. A good idea would be setting around 200 Pokemons per region and only being able to move on to the next region once you complete the previous pokedex. Then all the Pokemons you caught would be like kept away and you would have to start all over again with new Pokemons in the next region.
And once you complete all the regions you would have all your Pokemons back, access to the Battle Frontier, and a new Pokemon League with all the Champions in the Elite 4.

Eitherway thats all wishful thinking :D

They need to. Right now they are really milking it, and eventually they will hit a brick wall. Then the Pokemon would look more like Digimon then more like FF creatures. Lol.

They already got to the point where the pokemons look like digimons lol, they'll probably soon realize that there's nothing else to dig out of this idea and start working on a new project.
One thing i want to see is real-time Pokemon battles, though i guess that would kinda turn it into a fighting game :P

Jesus, that would be AWESOME. Hopefully the price tag wouldn't be too much higher than a normal game, since in a way you kinda have most of the games in the series compressed into one. But that'd be so cool, getting to go back to the regions you went through in Ruby/Sapphire/Emerald and Diamond/Pearl/Platinum (the only games I've played, excluding White).

I just can't stand how "dumb" some pokemon look. Really turns me off on buying it. Stick to the remakes of Gold and Silver.
