1. Pokemon's graphic engine has improved with the newer technology. It isn't Game Freak's fault that Nintendo's default graphics devices continually push the bar past your nostalgia induced illusions of grandeur to the Generation 1 days. Almost every Pokemon sprite has seen a drastic improvement amongst the first 151 Pokemon introduced.
2. To nip this in the bud, the Pokemon created in most recent generations are no less original and creative than those introduced back in Generation 1. Compare Garbodor to Muk (Garbodor easily more creative, though I love Muk too) and compare Vanilluxe to.... oh right you can't. It's the first time they designed a pokemon after an ice cream cone. Guess that counts as original, huh?
3. The overall environment is more inspirational and graphically sound. Buildings have more depth, forests look like forest, caves like caves. But no worries, Imma dig up some images at the end to point out how futile your argument is.
4. Seriously, make an argument, produce reason and evidence for your point. Frankly, anything beyond "this game sucks" is what I'd call a "fluff" post, and mods just LOVE fluff posts.
5. Satoshi Tajiri launched the Pokemon project. He collaborated with many friends such as Ken Sugimori on the project. I'm sorry to say, he's still very much alive and leading Game Freak. He decided to leave Junichi Masuda in charge of the pokemon project since Ruby and Sapphire. Masuda has been nothing but a blessing to the games. Improving mechanics, fixing many of the early bugs. He also put much of the music in the games you enjoy together. And before you tell me Satoshi Tajiri isn't the man who started it, I'd read

6. Picture time!
Not only are the dimensions a little clunky and overstretched in the first sprite artwork, you have difficulty setting aside Tauros' most prominent features.
Not only do we get full back image sprite art now, again... the image is cleaner.
These don't even look the same. The first image literally looks like the ice sculpture my aunt had for her wedding reception. At least the new image looks like it's actually a living creature.
Now this isn't to say some sprite work didn't get lack luster in generation shift. Some pokemon like Gyarados saw a bit of a scaling back in ferocity in their design. But for the most part if you sincerely decree that the first generation is cutting edge today in 2013, you should just go back under the rock you've been under since 1998, because the world just became a scary place for you.
If this is supposedly better than...
then I seriously don't want to live on this planet anymore.
My end point is, rather than getting your knickers in a knot because people disagree with your (shallow) opinion when you can't even bring forward any evidence... then kindly don't bump a topic that's been a month cold while you formulate a response that equates to "just... just shut up man! I hate it and that's all there is to it! I'm not changing my opinion for nothing"
You are merely being closed minded if you can't even intellectually make your point. I'm not saying you are lacking intelligence, but you (for whatever reason) are making zero effort to validate your statement and are unwilling to at least consider what others propose. The nature of closed mindedness is not even giving other opinions a chance to cross your thoughts because you've blindly resigned yourself to a (very poor) choice in standards.
