Pokemon that should have gotten Mega Evolutions?

What Pokemon do you think should of (but didn't) get Mega Evos?

Personally, I think some of the legendaries from gens after gen 1 would have been interesting. Mega Deoxys or Genesect? Could be cool. Mega Arceus? Ridiculous, but hilariously awesome.

I also think the pseudo legendaries from gen 3 and 5 should have gotten 'em too. I mean, Salamence, Metagross and Hydreigion always seem to get screwed every generation, so to see them made more useful in competitive multiplayer and to have them actually compare to Garchomp or Tyranitar would be awesome.

What ones do you think should have got Mega Evos?
 
It should have been the smaller pokemon from various generations. For example, Raichu. Maybe the Hitmons?

Maybe more mega fossils? Mega Porygon-Z would be interesting. Perhaps Mega Gallade as well?
 
I say Sceptile.
And that one picture that the official Pokemon twitter leaked showed 2 dark figures.One looks like Sceptile and the other looks like Swampert,to me atleast.
 
Well for starters I say some Pokemon in gen 6 should have gotten at least one mega evolution. For example Dedenne who is close to useless because it barely has any good attacks and especially for being a fairy pokemon. I'm still awaiting for more starter mega evolutions, supposedly there was a rumor before Pokemon X and Pokemon would of had exclusive evolutions like charizardite x. If not, it'd be still awesome to get more mega evolution starters than just 4 Pokemon gaining evolutions.
 
I'm thinking that Dragonite's Mega would be really cool. Maybe reverting to its blue color scheme of Dragonair.
 
Pidgeot and Staraptor could also be cool, Also Swellow, Eevee, and Cofagrius.
 
I'd love to see all the Eeveelutions get them, that'd be sweet. I'd also like to see a lot of the lesser used Pokes get Mega evolutions. Or at least be made competitive. All of my favorites are practically unusable in actual pvp battles, and I'm tired of seeing variations of the same fifteen or so in Twitch battles... I'd really love a Mega Dodrio, Sandslash, Emboar, Noivern and Marowak. Torterra would look awesome too.

Marowak is my favorite...I approve of Mega Marowak.

D'aww, thanks peeps! But seriously, I was a little disappointed at the choices of Mega Pokemon and hope more are released. I don't want to see Mega Evolution watered down, but it would have been nice to see more Pokemon that aren't super commonly used, or already uber fan favorites get some love. I mean, the starters and overpowereds are already so common in battles...
 
If Marowak gets a Mega Evolution then maybe Sandslash should too. He looks cool looking and all but he's overlooked because he's not very competitive. :/

Hehe, I'm actually using a Sandslash on my team, I just finished breeding him. I pair him with my Torterra so they can earthquake the dickens out of things! XD I wanted to use Marowak, but Sandslashes stats and moves were a bit better :/

Back on topic: Arcanine already looks pretty sweet, but I think a mega Arcanine would rock. He's already ginormous, but he'd look so cool!

They purposely didn't use any from Gen 6, because they wanted to:

Bring back nostalgia

Make sure they weren't giving a Mega Evolution to a not-popular Pokemon.

I think they should have put in more Gen 4 pokemon, as it is one of my favorites (with Diamond/Pearl/Platinum and Heartgold/Soulsilver). They used Garchomp, Lucario, and Abomasnow, I know, but I would have liked more. Also perhaps more starters, 1 or 2 Generation 5 pokemon, and Latios/Latias (that has been rumored; I want it to be true!).
