As for Pokemon, well, you all know what's going to happen,

So here's the decision.Do you prefer Digimon or Pokemon.

Pokemon has the better games, but the suckish anime.

Digimon has the suckish games, but the awesome (and actually funny) anime.

I'm not saying I hate Pokemon,I mean just look at my username and all.But I mean,Digimon has finally reappeared outside of Japan, and the anime looks like something I'll start watching more than the Pokemon anime. However, the new Pokemon:XY anime looks pretty good, and so does the Digimon anime of course. And the Digimon game looks pretty epic (despite being underrated) ,as like the Pokemon games.Digimon came out first, but it's not as popular as Pokemon. So,which do you prefer? And of all these things, what are you MOST excited about?

Well i was a huge digimon fan when i was younger but it hasnt been good since season three, season four was okay. I still have a soft place in my heart for digimon but im going to have to go with pokemon.

I'm a huge Digimon game fan. The games have been a very important part of my childhood. I saw a decent amount of the show as well. When it comes to comparing them, I don't as they are both completely different things. I'm actually hoping Digimon World Redigitize: Decode gets a localization because that game pays homage to the very first Digimon Console game by mimicking the gameplay mechanics.

I like Pokemon and Digimon differently and equally. Pokemon is just a stronger franchise overall.

I loved Digimon as a kid but it's absence in my country made me move to Pokemon. I have only watched a little bit of the anime but I couldn't get into it. I can't decide which one I like better!

True. But what if Digmon belonged to Sony? Then the "Pokemon ot Digimon" war would've raged as it would fit with Nintendo VS Sony.It also would've been more popular if the games came out first (not including the original virtual Digimon pocket things).

Pokemon. I never liked Digimon when I was younger I always call it and You-Gi-Oh a rip off of Pokemon because that's what they were to me. So because of that I could never watch Digimon. Even when I got out of the idea that it wasn't a rip off, I still didn't like it.

As a kid I loved both Digimon and Pokemon. As of right now though, I haven't really played any Digimon games since the DS versions, and I stopped watching the show after season 3. I only saw the Kanto region Pokemon Anime, but I've played all of the Pokemon games. They're both really good in their own regards, but like everyone else has stated, Pokemon is defenitely the stronger franchise.

Honestly, I never have been able to get into Digimon as much as I was into Pokemon. When I was young Pokemon was quite the "hot" thing in my school at the time, everyone was trading the cards. I researched into it a bit, and found out it was more then a card game. That was the time when I played Pokemon for the first time, specifically LeafGreen. Later, I got more interested into it. Digimon just didn't cash it in, I guess.

I like Pokemon games. I really like Digimon anime. I watched Digimon Adventure, Digimon Adventure 2, Digimon Tamers, and Digimon Frontier. I was never able to watch the others. For the Pokemon animes I only watched them when I was small and they are not as good as the games. Pokemon anime seems more childish and less seriousness. That is the only thing I see missing out in the Pokemon animes.

I've grown up with both and honestly love em both. The Digimon games on the playstation were some of my favorite games of all time and still are. I was very happy when the series reached the DS after its years of absence.

I, like Porkman, grew up with both. I had Digimon before they were advertised and have some great memories of raising and battling them with Stonewoot. they were originally Tamiaotchi-like key-chain pets and weren't advertised or marketed well when they came out. I never got into the cartoon or owned the PSX games, however. I liked the Tamagotchi-style things but that is it, so for me Pokémon all the way.

Honestly, I prefer Digimon. I only watched Tamers, but it was pretty amazing as far as I remember, especially if you compare it to Poke's anime, which is so linear it hurts.

The games are completely different and are UN-comparable, but I played Digital Squad for PS2 and Digimon World for DS, and they were pretty good (Digital Squad being one of my favorite games for the PS2). I only played Pokemon Black/White, and I felt like it was pretty grindy, but the series is well established and has a lot of depth.

I never played a Digimon game but I can agree that the Digimon anime is better than the Pokemon anime.

Oh man, I remember when I was little I loved to watch both. I remembering renting the First Digimon movie over and over again, although I never played the games, I did enjoy every single bit of the cartoon. As for Pokemon, it did start to become dull in the cartoon series. I can't decide but i think I would choose Digimon.

Pokemon all the way! There was a time i was into digimon a bit. I have to admit though i had one of those digivices and i shook the hell out of it for weeks and weeks until i killed the battery. For some reason i thought that was fun when i was younger lol. But pokemon will always have a place in my heart as one of my fav game series.
