MONTHS after It's release, Pokemon X and Y are still being bought of store shelves like free candy. I, myself, decided to wait it out, realizing that the price may drop in a few months. But, It's been long enough, and I'm dying to get Mega Charizard X. (Sorry Bulbasaur, I still love you D:) So here it is.

Should I download Pokemon X from the Nintendo Eshop, or should I buy a cartridge. I mean, 1.7GB is a lot for a game, but seeing the 3D models and great graphics, It's understandable. Still, I'm undecided.

I'm really having a hard time deciding, so I brought it here.

Cartridge. Physical copies are always better. Plus if your 3DS gets broken or it losses the memory, you'll still have the game.

I think your better off buying the game cartridge. It is a lot safer too. The download version takes up a good amount of your SD card.

Cartridge man. Especially when things are still getting patched and updated it's better to buy a physical copy. Also, they did release some Pokémon X and Y copies with special Pokémon (Garchomp & Scizor) So it's not a surprise they are still being bought. I myself bought a digital copy of Pokémon Y and a physical copy of Pokémon X, and I know the difference, physical is the way to go.

I bought my copy of X on the ESHOP on the release day. I couldn't wait long enough to go to gamestop to get a physical copy.

digital's file size is freakin hugenormous. And it is easier to move a cartridge than save data alone from system to system.

I did call Nintendo's customer care line before my purchase, just to be safe. They told me that if my 3DS were to break I could send it to them and they would transfer all purchases and data to a new one and send it to me.

Cartridge, but don't expect it to get a price drop anytime soon. Nintendo is notorious of never dropping the price on popular games.

Impulse bought a digital copy around a week after the game came out. Pretty convenient to have it on the system itself, not having to deal with switching out cartridges or potentially losing the game somewhere. Nintendo's digital policy does scare me though.
