only number 4 is gonna happen, and that's just cause its already somewhat obvious from the screenshots we already have.

i saw another theory that the new legends represent 2 new types, light and sound.

2) I heard about this, and I hope it doesn't happen

3) I want this to happen, and I think it is 50-50

My prediction (like your 6) is that there will be a large island like world you can go to if you have wifi and walk around and battle and trade with other people roaming the world. I think it would basically be a stepping stone to get to the world like you said.
 
There is no need for a light type...just drop it....or even a "sound" type that is just derp. I think there will be customization probably only limited to accessories though. Other than that we have little to almost nothing to go on.
