Pokemon X/Y legendary pokemon shiny locked?

So apparently there are certain rumors going around that Yveltal Xerneas Zygarde etc. are shiny locked. The proof is that have you even seen a shiny legendary in X and Y yet I haven't. The only other pokemon that arent shiny locked are non legendary's i already got a shiny Zoroark and magicarp and I am currently "soft resetting" to get a shiny Zygarde and I am already on 5000 SRs if you have anything that will proove that the legendarys arent shiny locked post them here. Also when i get to 10k soft resets i will just capture Zygarde.

By locked do you mean they can not be shiny or that it is based on the game card its self? Cause i seen Shiny Y Legendary already.

I don't know where you are getting your information from, but it isn't fully correctly explained.

They cannot be caught shiny, that is true. The shiny versions are going to be earned via events, like B/W's Zekrom and Rashiram.
