I find that even though I plan to do certain things, especially things that are boring or not what I want to do (i.e. studying for my mid-year exams), I procrastinate a lot and push things back when I should and could have done them earlier. I understand that this is a issue that I have to resolve.

The spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak - I just can't seem to get started.

Anyone else have this problem and managed to resolve it? I'd like to get some solid advice please.

I do hope to get down and cracking soon!

Yes I think procastination is a problem for me. I find it hard to get myself off the computer once I on it. I cant really focus on my studies as a result of this.

I've tried to do some work earlier to no avail. I ended up playing Runescape and then playing Tekken 3 on PS2.

Help.

"The spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak" - did you use this as a 'figure of speech', or do you really mean it? :P

I voted yes; I spend my time on forums, Faceboook, playing games... sigh, at least I managed to finish my stupid assignment today. It's meant to be what a first year uni student would write about me in 15 years to come, if I became a professional scientist. Sounds like stuff you'd do in year 3, but yeah it was for uni :(

During school I procrastinated LIKE CRAZY, but since it's Summer now, I don't really have a need to procrastinate since there's no more homework. When I did procrastinate, it was bad, but I somehow managed to stick through and pass with flying colors.

Man procrastination is the biggest problem for me. But, I find it ironic that I am a A-Student and yet I always do my work last minute or copy it from a friend literally right before the teacher checks it lol. What distracts me from my work and going down the path of procrastination is Facebook, Friends, and Games x.x The fun things I do just consume all my free time.

I can have a problem with this. Though usually it bothers me too bad and I end up breaking the problem. It's really annoying though. Right now I'm not having much to do with it being summer break, but for some reason I feel like I am still procrastinating. Maybe it's because when your in those 4 months or so in the semester with all that work, you don't know how to think once your out.

I vote yes. :emo-wallbash:

The only time I procrastinate is when I have to go to the doctor. I really hate it and I have never gotten used to it. I think to myself my kids need me healthy and strong so no excuses!

It has been a problem for me this summer...so far all I have been doing mostly is watching TV. This will not happen anymore!

Saying and not doing is also as good as procrastination. Told myself that I would do work and here I am posting on forums. Sigh......

Procrastination is a huge problem for me. I always wait until the very last minute for everything and sometimes it gets super stressful.

My first exam is next friday; my whole "study week" last week has pretty much been wasted. I'd better get going with the study while I still have time... but when I'm home alone I get so distracted. Probably need to get a friend to come over to study together, it works so much better for me!

I don't how to combat it very well I suffer from the same problem I just do a little bit everyday as much as I can until I don't want to do it anymore

Yeah that is how it goes. You think you have a lot of time to do something so you continue on as normal, and then you look back to see a lot of time has gone by. The illogical thing about it though, is that what ever it was that you needed to do would likely have only been a small fraction of the "wasted" time. It is very annoying how we can think this way.

I just remembered to post in this topic..

Anyway, I have a tendency to procrastinate, but I try not to do so where important things are concerned. I also try not to do it too much or for too long otherwise, I'll just end up forgetting.

(which is why it took me so long to post after my first one in this thread, sincecIcwas in a hurry that day..)
