Yep, the official site says it all:

A special show or something will commence about the game on the 17th September between 12:30 and 01:00, and there's even a link to Capcom's website about the event.

As you may have guessed, I expect there to be plenty of news about the game, and possibly even confirmation of whether it'll be released outside of Japan.

Here's a bit of pre-show news, courtesy of Famitsu.
Well, not that much news, as such, not a lot that we didn't know before. But there are some nice screenshots.

It looks great. I love the 3D take on the Ace Attorney graphical style. And I hope Phoenix's finger comes out of the screen at you every time he points.

What makes you think that?
Professor Layton is very popular in the West, so even if Capcom won't publish it, you can be sure that Level-5's usual publisher will. And for the most part, this is Level-5's game - they are taking the biggest part in developing it, and they are publishing it in Japan (I think).

Here, have some more (somewhat low quality) screenshots:

I'm glad there will likely be a Western release. When you consider how much of a fanbase both series have in the West, keeping it Japan exclusive would be insane.

As am I. I enjoy playing the Professor Layton games every now and then. Sadly I have yet to play an Ace Attorney game, so that will be new to me.

Plus I really enjoyed the trailer. Really makes me want to play the game to find out the full story.

Ace Attorney games are pretty entertaining. I've played two, the first one and then an Apollo Justice: Ace Attorney one. The main gist of those is that you learn of a crime and get a client to defend, and from there, you follow along with the story and find evidence, interview people for information, show them evidence to get them to spill the beans about stuff you want to know, go into trial, use the evidence you found to defend your client. This usually goes through three trials in the later sessions of the game, so there are heaps of plot twists.

Although with this mash up, that main game overview may be changed a heap. I have to say, this is one of the most unexpected game cross overs I've seen as of recent.

Here's the video of their little conference, but unfortunately we can't really understand any of it. Hopefully there'll be a translation along soon:

In other news, the game is going to be playable at the Level 5 World event on the 15th and 16th of October, so we should get some more info then.
