In a new incident, a teenager from Punjab has reportedly spent Rs 16 lakh on PUBG Mobile. Reports claim that the 17-year-old from the town of Kharar spent money from his father and mother’s account. He spent the money buying in-game cosmetic items which do not give an edge to the player, but can be used to flaunt styles. Micro-transactions are part of PUBG Mobile which allows real money to be transferred for UC or Unknown Currency.
The boy apparently informed his parents that he is extensively using the smartphone for studies. But he used this time to play the game and made several transactions which resulted in the final amount. The boy’s father is a government employee and said, “I had saved the money for my medical needs and my son’s future. During the lockdown, I was staying at the place of my posting, while my son was staying with my wife here. He used her mobile phone to make all transactions and would delete the message regarding amount debited from account.”
The father added, “I just can’t let him sit idle at home and cannot give him a mobile phone even for studying. He is working at a scooter repair shop so that he realises how hard it is to earn money.” As for the money, PUBG Mobile is unlikely to return it since these were used in legitimate transactions.

It is good that he is working at a Scooter repair shop to pay back the money he stole to buy Pubg skins.

Hopefully, he kearns a valuable lesson.

This is the first story where the parents have actually acted correctly in the end. Sending him to a scooter repair shop to make money was a good idea. Maybe he'll learn a lesson lol

This is too much
I don't think they are going to get that money back. I just hope parents wouldn't let their children do stuff like this in the future

I agree
It's kinda the parents fault too. How could they not check their account details when the amount gets deducted for no reason?

Well let's think the boy is more clever and and their parents were not into online banking system to check them frequently.

That's true
Otherwise usually they would get these message alerts. Still I wonder how those transactions are made without his parents knowledge

I feel the Coronavirus outbreak may not let the boy's parents go to the bank as often if the bank was closed because of the Covid19 lockdown, so the boy may of spent a lot of money before the parents can go to the bank to check how much money the boy spent on the game.

True that must tbe reason too but we can't change anything now what has happened we can just be carefull what happening around the world

Another kid committed suicide because of a 3 lakh loan he took from others, just to play this game.
I don't like this ><

Trying to work out how much that is in USD LOL Sounds like he doesn't even know what money is to him or he's just a crazy freak gamer. I would of play the game free without then need to spend anymore.

Damn I don't know why people being so iletrate and so stupid for a game I'm not saying they shouldn't play it since I do too but that's literally stupid things I have ever seen.

Well, more like their parents are responsible here.. Trying to make it as if they pamper their kids a lot, they don't really take notice of these things.
