According to industry analysts at Screen Digest, videogame publishers are jumping all over the Wii and leaving the PS3 and 360 in the proverbial dust.

Eighty-six Nintendo Wii titles are scheduled for release this holiday season, compared with 47 Xbox 360 games and 38 PlayStation 3 titles. A quarter of the Wii releases are exclusive, compared with only eight 360 exclusives and five PS3-only games.

As you'd expect, the main reason for the move to the Wii is because the console's user base is larger than either of the other "next-gen" consoles, but other factors cited by developers include lower development costs and "the relative ease of transferring development resources to the platform compared with its 256 bit counterparts."

Screen Digest predicts there will be more total Wii games than 360 games in early 2008.

Look: Here's a graph to back up the contention of more Wii development.

QUOTE (MisterKalas @ October 10, 2007 07:31 am) The Wii is doing impressive, I'm pleased. It may explain why some folks can't find a Wii console right now.
that's true but in a few years the PS3 will be the big thing
