RadioShack has been in business since 1921, in spite of the fact that no one has bought anything there except speaker wire since the last Tandy 1000 Color Computer (pictured) rolled out of the store in 1983 or so.
But, listen, RadioShack is getting with the times, man, by selling videogames. This is proof that either the world is ending or videogames have jumped the proverbial shark and are no longer cool at all.
Anyway, look for 14 games to be available through the holiday season at the 'Shack, along with a wide selection of remote control cars and things Johny Five can fix himself with*.
Also, 2,500 of the chain's 6,000+ stores will be selling Xbox 360, Wii and PS2 (but not PS3) hardware. Mostly, though, they'll be focusing on peripherals and cables, because some things never change.
