Do you need a new chair to spend hours gaming in? How about one that massages your back while you frag opponents?
PROS:
* Vibration Adds Immersion
* Great Sound
* Cup Holder!
CONS:
* Some Of Us Found It Uncomfortable / Low
* Doesn't Recline or Lean Forward
* Stereo Audio Only
First of all, the vibration in this thing is great. It really adds to game immersion and runs off the audio of the game. In Call of Duty 4, for example, this means getting a nice massage when grenades go off. When weakened, the heartbeat of your character vibrates right into your back. That’s immersion.
The sound is great. The stereo speakers are positioned on either side of your head so you get a ton of volume and good bass. Pair this with the vibration and it’s an awesome effect… except none of us felt comfortable in it and it didn’t recline.
This means when we would lean forward (because we were so into the game) the chair would remain where it was. Since the speakers are on the right and left side of the headrest, you lose most of the audio.
However, if you have a surround sound system, you can use the chair’s speakers as your rear channel, which would alleviate the positional audio problem.
It does have a cup-holder though and as we all know, cup-holders make everything better.
Overall, we can’t really recommend this chair to anyone over the age of 17, but if you or a child of yours are younger than that, it could be a great chair to play games. Or if you’re extremely short.
