it's an advanced way of rendering light and shadows in a scene. Something like what movies and TV shows use to create and blend in CG work with real-life scenes.

I have Ratchet & Clank thanks to the PS Plus free games which I'm thinking about trying. And then if I like that, I can consider getting this for the PS5. The gameplay really does look great and I love that they will have an option to play with 60FPS
