Before it was announced as coming to the PlayStation, Rayman was originally meant to be a SNES game.
Unfortunately though, this version seemingly got lost to history. It was never leaked to anyone. It was never at a state where reviewers received a copy. No one at Ubisoft ever released it. Basically, we thought the game had been lost forever.
But it turns out it wasn't! Oh no, Rayman creator Michel Ansel has actually found the game in his own personal collection, and posted pictures on his Instagram account!

So yeah, what do you think? Are you at least somewhat hoping he can get this game made available somehow? Like maybe as part of a new Rayman title?
Because there's certainly precedent there. Rayman 2 actually contained levels straight from its 2D beta version as secret levels you could play. Hence maybe... we might be lucky enough to see some of this version in whatever the future Rayman Legends sequel is.
