Red. He's my favorite player character for one, and he's a lot better than Ash can ever hope. I know Ash in the anime loses to prove a point, but Red is the champion. He is unbeatable. Unless you play Gold/Sliver/Crystal/Heart Gold, Soul Silver so much that you beat him. I know I didn't.

I did beat red in the 2g games and their remakes, but Red is without a doubt the better trainer. He is the champion, and he is the master.

Most would say Red, but they're both the same character to me.

Yeah, he's epic. And I need to start watching the pok'emon anime again.... And I need to find the old shows to see Red and Ash battle! Any ideas where I can find it?

Red and Ash are not in the same universe and therefore could never battle. But if you want to watch Pokemon, you can always check out the official Pokemon website. They have 10 or so episodes of each region a week and then every Friday move forward 5 or so episodes. http://www.pokemon.com/us/tv-episodes/pokemon-episodes/

In regards to the question: as phrased, the only answer is Red. Ash is fun, but not cooler or stronger.

or you can go to anime44.com and search pokemon they have all the episodes there

I go with Red on this one too. His silence and lack of expression totally solidify his manliness.
...mmm.

Lololol.

The Brother Theory

In fact, Red and Ash are brothers. Red is older by a couple of years - so he started his Pokemon journey around the time of the game’s release, and Ash is the younger brother who started his journey around the time of the Anime’s release.[/background]

[background=rgb(250, 250, 250)]Red died some time after the events of Red and Blue. The reason he appears in the most high (apparently) peak of Kanto-Johto is because he wants to cross over to the heavens, but his spirit doesn't want to depart Earth yet because he has to battle the main character in G/S/C in order to feel complete. He feeds on the spirits/souls of lost persons and challangers and will part when, again, the main character beats him. That's the reason of why he doesn't talk. [/background]
Both of those are just theories by some guy, but sounds true to me.

The brothers thing is a really interesting concept. However as cool as it is, there's one main plot hole. Team Rocket isn't really broken up in the anime. Like you see no other memebers besides Cassidy and Biff. Yet no one cares about Cassidy and Boris as much as Jessie and James. Also Giovanni is still in command, we see that in the anime. Well we saw it. I don't know much after the first two seasons regions, but I figure he's still kickin'.

The ghost thing sounds pretty cool, but I don't know about that...

Also I know his name is Butch. I just like making references.

I love the theories people come up with about Pokemon, and that brothers theory is pretty interesting...

Ash is cooler, because that's who I grew up watching win and lose battles, we've all watched Ash get stronger to become the champion and he's trained a lot of Pokemon. It's interesting to see him risk his life just to save his Pokemon. He has made me laugh and tear up as a child and I don't think Red's personality would have made me do that. Red seems more like an antagonist than a protagonist. It's all about Ketchum.
Red is also from Pallet town, but the only person I saw running out of his house and towards the Pokemon Centre is Ash. In the anime, that is.

RED is the better trainer and if they are brothers then Ash was obviously born way too early and a bit mental lol
