Yes, it can help a forum grow. Especially if there’s some type of rewards involved. Also, having graphics that users can use with their referral links may be helpful as well.Does the referral system Help grow the forum or not ?? please advise me

Well it can't hurt, but didn't have much luck with this site in getting people to sign up

I haven't used it in Xenforo so... However in general the referral system doesn't work unless some sort of incentive is involved

A referral system could work at helping in getting new members. Some members can be competitive, and want to see which members refer the most members.
I think a referral system is only really beneficial if you have active members who have a large network of connections/friends (unlike me). And most people would only really use a referral link if there was some kind of tangible reward for using it.

Ironic considering a referral system is supposed to bring in active members lol.
It is. It might be easier just to set up a link back page instead of having a referral system. That way visitors and users can use banners or buttons to refer if they’d like to do so.
It’s a lot easier to do that instead of setting up a referral system. It generally works out well.
A referral contest has worked in the past for some.
Tying it into the credit system would probably be the most beneficial tangible reward for a forum.
