Considering the heavy delays the anime part of Japan is taking, I'm not surprised the gaming side will also see delays.

Japan is currently having a Coronavirus outbreak, so I think a lot of the workers and volunteers maybe busy preventing the Coronavirus from infecting more people, so most Japanese events like Nintendo Direct maybe canceled or delayed.
