how to do
1.reset game
2.start game get to point u get starter
3.if its not shiny then hold the L and R buttons and press select and start to reset game without turning ds/3ds etc. off

That's not a glitch, that's hard resetting to get a shiny. It's a known method, though not as often used as soft resetting when attempting to find one of those rare Pokemon. (I soft reset while using the Masuda method so I don't have craptons of normal versions of whatever I'm breeding before I get my shiny).

i tryed 3 times and got shiny chimchar i told my friend he got shiny piplup we traded after we got them to lv 100

Hmmm, unless if anybody else can add any more discussion and weight to this topic I'm considering closing it... *strokes imaginary kitten*

But I'd say you were just ultra lucky to get a shiny Chimchar in three goes.

I smell an AR, don't you Dan?

"(I soft reset while using the Masuda method so I don't have craptons of normal versions of whatever I'm breeding before I get my shiny)."
Good strategy, but the egg's shininess/EVs/IVs/gender are determined as soon as you get the egg.... at least that's what I've heard.

This is true. but i'm guessing he saved right before claiming the egg from the couple.

Why stroke a kitten, when you can stroke your beard?

Also; Why would you even want a shiny THAT much to keep turning your 3DS on and off for 10 times?

Yep, I save right before claiming the first of the eggs from the couple. Gives me 5 shots every 15 minutes (roughly).

Dear god, it's not impossible to hard reset to get a shiny Pokemon. Chill your sack.

...of ice.

i dont use action replays i used a spare game u know a extra game if i lost the main

How many shinies have you gotten using this method, Lord Regal.
I've only ever used it to get a shiny Pawniard...took about 2 days to do...I'm actually currently doing it again for a shiny Beldum...but I'm not being as gung ho about it, so it's taking longer (but seeing as I haven't played in 2 weeks, that makes sense...)

Interesting, were you playing literally all day? Like 16hrs a day?
Mm...not really...maybe 6? And I found it early on the second day. Like I said if I were being more gung-ho about getting Beldum I'd likely have it by now...I'm just too busy nowadays to really give it the effort it requires...

I got a Shiny Cyndaquil on HeartGold last summer after about 100 resets. Its now a Lvl.100 Typhlosion on PLatinum with the rest of my Shinies ^-^

My friend does this. I don't understand why. It takes him forever, and he could just get one from the GTS.
