PlayStation Resident Evil 4 Remake

Read that game adds in-game transactions, from CBR and TechnClub:

Capcom's highly anticipated remake of the critically acclaimed Resident Evil 4 will reportedly feature in-game transactions.

According to TechnClub, the ESRB rating for Capcom's remake of Resident Evil 4 revealed it may include microtransactions for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S versions of the title. The ESRB rating notably only mentioned console platforms and did not specify whether the upcoming PC version will retain the same features. No information was shared regarding what items will be available in the game's store. Capcom additionally did not confirm if it planned to offer in-game purchases upon release, which still left the microtransactions subject to possible changes during development.

The reports of an in-game store have additionally sparked rumors alleging Capcom will also implement a multiplayer mode for the upcoming remake. Some fans further speculated that Resident Evil 4's business model may share similarities with the Resident Evil 3 remake's online component, Resident Evil: Resistance, which was a separate survival horror mode that offered experience booster packs and cosmetic items through its in-game store.
Any gamer who ever thought Capcom wouldn't have microtransactions in the game is simply being delusional.

Read from Kotaku:

One of the major changes coming to the RE4 remake revolves around how Ashley Graham works in scenes when protagonist Leon S. Kennedy must escort and protect her. In the original RE4, players had to keep a watchful eye over Ashley’s health bar and ensure enemies didn’t carry her away. Ashley desperately, and frequently, screams out Leon’s name the instant players fail to do any of the aforementioned tasks.

In the remake, Ashley no longer has a health bar. Should President Graham’s daughter take too much damage while Leon attempts to escort her safely away from Las Plagas, she’ll enter a downed state and need to be revived.

According to a Capcom representative, this change to Ashley’s gameplay mechanic was made to make her “feel more like a natural companion and less like a second health bar to babysit.”

Probably a good thing as lots of people complained about Ashley at the time. Res 4 is the greatest game ever made in my opinion. ;)

You're right about that. It's the only Resident Evil game that I can easily switch back to Playstation 2 and still enjoy it so much.

Chapter 5 Game Informer's Gameplay Video:

I cannot wait to play this game. I like the rain, but the white "traces" is a bit obscuring.
