Whether in the video game industry or other fields, it is not uncommon for employees to sign non-disclosure agreements. These NDAs prevent a person from publicly revealing information related to a project or company strategy.

Within game studios and publishers, employees are therefore not allowed to discuss certain details. Sometimes, this culture of secrecy is taken to extremes. This is particularly the case at Rockstar Games, which constantly monitors what its teams say.

In a post on X, Kiwi Talkz revealed that he will publish an interview with a former developer from the star-studded firm this weekend. This person worked on titles such as L.A. Noire, GTA V, and Red Dead Redemption 2. Furthermore, Kiwi Talkz added that he had to exercise great caution during the interview since the developer had signed “lifetime non-disclosure agreements”. He also noted that Rockstar is the only company in the industry to employ such a strategy.

With any Rockstar interviews because of lifetime NDAs I do have to navigate them very carefully and can't get into deep specifics but we do cover a lot of his time at Rockstar as well as various other aspects about his career and his life.

That's why most former Rockstar devs don't want to talk at all. I tread very carefully with all my Rockstar interviews as I don't want the devs to get into trouble nor do I want to aggravate Rockstar.
