With it being prime day, anyone know a good router to pick up? Seems Asus routers are starting to show bad reviews.

Building your own wi-fi router from a more affordable computer like a Raspberry Pi or a PC which runs Windows and Linux can be a good option for some users.

There are tutorials online for teaching people how to build a Raspberry Pi based wi-fi routers.

If I was looking for a new router, I am interested in building my own router with a Raspberry Pi because I can choose my own Wi-Fi adapter, and OS. Plus, I can easily replace parts like the USB power adapter, MicroSD card, and Raspberry Pi if it breaks in the future.

A Raspberry Pi as a router is fun diy project, but costs more than a basic router, and performs worse.
