Microsoft has announced the addition of both free and paid DLC to Xbox One launch title Ryse: Son of Rome.
A free update available today will add two new level events to Gladiator mode. The first will see an enemy turret appear and bombard you with arrows until it is destroyed, while the second has Reward Statues of Roman deities appear, which can be activated for bonuses to your health or focus.
Alongside these additions, the Colosseum Pack is also free if you've got the Season Pass, otherwise it can be purchased for $3.99. It includes two new arenas, Henge and Ascension, as well as two new skins, Commodus and Centurion.
The Henge arena tasks you with liberating a forest shrine from hordes of barbarians, while Ascension sees you fighting your way out of the flaming lair of Hades. The Commodus skin, meanwhile, offers a chance to deck your gladiator out in the golden garb of Nero's opulent son, while the Centurion armour is pretty much what it says on the tin.
