Didn't you say your budget is 900$?
Therefore, you're missing 100$?

And how much money would you need for the RAM upgrade?

I, have absolutely no idea on how to build a LAPTOP.
Please, if anyone can enlighten me...?
I want someone here to build a laptop, preferably a quad core, GeForce, 8G ram, 1 T of space, 15inch screen 1920X1080.

Then, tell me how much money did it take.
I've seen ton of people saying they CAN build an Alienware on their own, I wanna see them do it.

I just made an HP laptop and a comparable Alienware one.

HP: Intel Core i7-3610QM, NVIDIA GeForce GT 2GB 650m, 8GB DDR3 RAM, Blu-ray player, 750 GB 7200 RPM HD, 15.6" screen 1920x1080 Total Cost: $1,185
AW: Intel Core i7-3610QM, NVIDIA GeForce GT 2GB 650m, 8GB DDR3 RAM, Blu-ray player, 750 GB 7200 RPM HD, 14.0" screen 1600x900 Total Cost: $1,699

The HP also comes with Beats Audio.

See is all about the brand. HP even have a bigger screen for less.

A core i7 PC with 6 GB RAM, not bad, later upping the RAM at least to 10 and a good VC with a decent GPU and you are all set for gaming.
Who in gawd's name needs 10GB of RAM? No game uses that much...

My dad meant it was too big, so tried to find a smaller one. Found one with these parts:
Intel® LGA1155 Core i5-2500K
Corsair XMS3 1600MHz 8GB Vengeance CL9
Seagate Barracuda® 500GB KOM-PC
PNY GeForce GTX560Ti 1GB XLR8 OC PCI-E
ZOTAC H67ITX WiFi, Socket-1155
Sony DVD±RW AD-7693H-01, Slim Line, SATA
Silverstone Sugo SG07B Mini-ITX Black

But it doesn't come with Windows 7. Can I use linux for most stuff? Like Photoshop, some games, recording and such?

Do you already have a decent understanding of Linux? From what I understand, it's not the most user-friendly OS in terms of simplicity.

Honestly couldn't tell you about the compatibility, though. Many games are made exclusively for Windows and DirectX, neither of which Linux support. I'd suggest doing some hard research before choosing that as your OS.

Found a windows vista license code under my current laptop which runs windows xp. Is it a way to check if it works without downloading vista?

Turns out there is no way excepft for trying...
Is nvidia geforce gt630 or gt20 good?

Translated it by myself, so some parts are a bit meh..

Do NOT do NOT do NOTTTTT get Vista. Go Win7 all the way, and avoid that Win8 garbage.

Try to find something that isn't pre-loaded with bloatware. That's a pain.

And a GT 630? If I looked that up properly, I hope you aren't planning on doing any gaming.

Not alot. Maybe some minecraft, terraria, tf2, gta (if possible) some starcraft if I can. I don't expect to be able to party on any higher than low on most games. Is 3D sculpting possible with that computer?

I...don't know. Can I have a link to the product page? If this is still around 1k USD, you really should be getting a better GPU for your money.

It's in norwegian so will probably be a bit confusing.. And it's a mini desktop, so quite understandable.
