Hey guys I bought new really sweet home cinema system and I'm wondering what to do. Should I buy xbox 360 or wait for 720? What do you think?
 
Would go for 360 too, I hate to wait then to discover it is going to be obsolete even faster ... :) !
 
Judging by Microsoft's own words the 720 is still a good ways off.

The 360 is only "half way" through its life cycle and still has another 3 years before they will make a 720.

So It would be best to get the 360 since you have a long wait on your hands for the 720 lol.
 
You can net a 360 cheap now. You still have major games coming out this and next year, Halo, Gears and Assassin's Creed. I think it's pretty much in stone that the next Xbox will be fall 2013. That is a long time from now.

I'm guessing 2014. There are still good current-gen titles coming out in 2013 so I don't think it's that and 2015 sounds a bit too late :p
 
but 2013 or 2014 release dates are all just speculation on the fans part at the moment correct?

Mircosoft themselves have made it clear that they do not intend to release the 720 until the 10 year life cycle for the Xbox 360 is over which is not until 2015.

Judging by what was said, It would appear that E3 2015 will be the official unveiling of the 720.
 
Kinect was considered by MS as a life extender for the Xbox 360 and it's clear they have no problems on waiting for a new system. No doubt there heavily testing it to ensure no more RRoD.


At best they may announced something at next E3 but no new systems for 2 years I say.

As everyone else said, definitely go with the 360 right now.
There's no point in waiting that long and who knows how good the 720 will even be.
 
Definitely Xbox 360 ! It works great, it looks great, cheap and with a kinect it is awesome. You shouldn`t wait any longer and enjoy it with that sexy new home cinema :p
