While little has been confirmed regarding Silent Hill: Ascension, what has been confirmed is that it's an "interactive video streaming experience." The announcement trailer indicates viewers will be able to watch together, chat within the community, and directly influence the experience's direction through interactive elements. In addition to developers Genvid and Behaviour Interactive, JJ Abrams' Bad Robot and video-game-to-TV production company DJ2 Entertainment, a team designed to bring this kind of project to life.

It's not a game an it looks really bad:

It's being bombed by so many, rated only 1.7 on google aps store:

"About the dumbest thing I've ever downloaded. It's just a movie with thousands of players tapping choices. There's an avatar that you can buy things for that has nothing to do with the "game". The videos are decent production value but the content is extremely difficult to follow. Story is cut up all over the place. Zero continuity. It's like watching small clips of random Silent Hill themed things with zero context given. The menus are too tiny. Waste of the IP."

"Horribly buggy and doesn't work properly. They charge you 20 dollars for a battle pass and it doesn't work or even remember you paid for it. Micro transactions make it so only those willing to shell out money can really make a difference on choices. Stupid predictable storyline so far. Even if you are interested in the story DO NOT put any money into this game until they fix a mountain of technical problems."

"It's an interactive show where viewers vote the outcome. Sounds fun on paper but the execution falls flat, especially regarding the writing and story. CGI quality is stiff, pacing is messy, acting is awkward (writing issue). Characters are uninteresting. Story gets confusing from scene to scene. QTE didn't feel impactful. App is buggy. It's a copy of the website. Performance is awful. Switch to the website on PC to play the puzzles and watch the Livestream smoothly. Overall a let down."

"For the free version all you can do is watch a few videos, vote a little bit (your vote wont count for much on free) and also do two puzzles. Then you just wait around for the live stream. Very boring, very limited on free version (need season pass to get better experience) Also the videos feel very AI generated. You also have to heavily rely on others (especially those with Season Pass) to see the story you want."

"The movies are awfully written and acted, the lighting is awful so you have no idea what is going on, the voting system is, essentially, pay to win, and most of the content is locked behind a pay wall. The first love action sequence was failed...I'm guessing because everyone had the same laggy, unresponsive issues that I had. Not gonna bother with the rest. The story is a mess and I honestly have no idea who anyone is or why I should care. If this was meant to wow fans, it failed spectacularly"
